Flotsam & Jetsam: calming greys inspired by the coast

The beach is not only for summer; we love its calming winter palette of blues and greys.

The smooth grey surface of driftwood has inspired this look, complimented here by the authentic concrete effect of our Royan console table (also available as a compact side table). The harmonious gradients of grey are given structure by clean lines of black metalwork on the table, framed print and our dramatic Yonah five light pendant. Its arms can be adjusted to create striking arrangements which perfectly fit your space. We’ve chosen decorative LED bulbs in irregular organic shapes to compliment the informality of the look, with a nod to bottles found floating on the tides.

This is one of the easiest schemes to install successfully as there are no colours to coordinate and you can build on the calming grey background with black and white furniture, artwork and lighting to add the right level of contrast and formality for you home. Just remember to balance the look with some organic, natural elements such as weathered wood or a large indoor plant.
