Yes this fitting is IP44 rated, and is suitable for outdoor use.
I live near the coast, is this light suitable?
Unfortunately, the harsh salty air of the coastal environment is very corrosive and will degrade the finish of this product very quickly. We recommend you look for products designed for coastal environments.
Can I use this light on a rendered wall?
This depends. Some renders use lime or other corrosive material that remains active during their life. The slight corrosive nature of lime will degrade the finish of this product. For normal concrete or silicate-based renders, please ensure they are fully cured before installing and wipe off any dust that may land on the surface of the product, as the curing reaction of some renders can damage the finish. Once fully cured, these should be fine.
